Shedding Skin marks the symbolic transition of the New Year, a moment for reflection and renewal. Drawing on traditions and rituals that celebrate transformation, from polka dots and round objects that invite prosperity and abundance, the exhibition explores the idea of leaving behind what no longer serves us and stepping into new possibilities.

This exhibition features works by Gillian Aypa, Jade Cabauatan, Jack De Castro, Elmer Dumlao, Kyna Francine, Glenn Martinez, Pepe Mendoza, Josh Palisoc, Mario de Rivera, Pey Raymond, Sherwin Tan, Valerie Teng, and Meneline Wong.

Together, their works interpret themes of rebirth and the cyclical nature of time, each contributing to a collective meditation on renewal. Through varied mediums, approaches, and visual languages, the artists invite viewers to reflect on moments of transformation and the universal desire for a fresh start.

Across the exhibition, the works engage the viewer in a dialogue between past and future, memory and anticipation. Everything from shapes and colors, to textures and forms become markers of change, guiding us through the emotional and symbolic act of shedding what is old to make room for what is new.

In this way, Shedding Skin bids viewers and artists alike to step forward with intention into the possibilities of the coming year.
