ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Alfred Galura has been affiliated with L’arcenciel Atelier for 10 years now. He is a master watercolorist par excellence. Pampanga’s pride says of his works: “I appreciate anything with a sensory perception. As an artist I want my works to be pleasant, positive and artful in appearance. Aesthetically, all I want is for my viewers to understand and judge the quality of my work.” This humble artist has had many solo and group shows in Ayala Musuem, 8 Rockwell, The Bellevue Manila, and Tagaytay Highlands.

Miguel Buhay started painting in L’Arc en Ciel Atelier around 2009. He studied Fine Arts in the University of the Philippines and has attended some classes in the Art Student’s League of New York. Miguel is a full time painter who has had two successful solo shows in the Ayala Museum and a long list of group shows.

Noemi Concepcion has a passion for landscape, still life and figure painting. In Manila, she attends the atelier, L’arc en Ciel as one of its pioneer students. She has opportunities to paint there under the school’s Master artist, Mia Herbosa. In the U.S., workshops with different Art professors such as Masters Cheryl Kline, Thomas Garner and Scott Yeskel at Kline Academy of Fine Art in Los Angeles. Her works continue to evolve from classical realism to impressionism, and a touch of the time-honored metal leaf art. With inspiration from her theological studies, she is influenced by renaissance religious arts in her paintings. She especially likes to paint the serene and captivating faces of the Madonna and Child. She aims to portray spirituality and joy for God’s creation in her paintings, that people may be moved, inspired and blessed.

Most people assume that science and art are worlds apart. For Sky De Leon, a pre-med science major and an artist who has found a home with L’arc en Ciel, since 2013, he sees art as a scientific process, in where artists, observe, experiment and learn. Painting is a big experiment where he never knows its outcome, but he always yearns to learn and hopes to inspire others with his insight of the world.
