“New Art Frontiers” spotlights the exceptional talents of current students and recent graduates from the esteemed Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, a name synonymous with artistic excellence since 1750. This group exhibition is the culmination of gallery director Remigio David’s encounter with the Academy’s annual “Antares” showcase, sparking a collaboration to bring the innovative visions of these young European artists to Manila. This landmark exhibition also offers Filipino collectors and art enthusiasts a rare opportunity to see and even acquire works by Europe’s next generation of artistic trailblazers.

The Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia has long been a beacon of artistic brilliance, having nurtured some of history’s most celebrated artists, including Antonio Canova and Amedeo Modigliani. Founded in 1750 and restructured under Napoleonic decree in 1807, the Academy boasts a legacy of fostering creativity and innovation. Its alumni continue to shape the global art landscape, making it a cornerstone of cultural and artistic heritage.

Featuring 31 emerging talents, the exhibition bridges cultures and creative disciplines, showcasing cutting-edge perspectives from Venice alongside Manila’s vibrant art scene. It also aims to foster cultural exchange and promote connections among local artists and promising European contemporary artists.

These artists’ innovative visions are presented across diverse mediums, underscoring the universal language of art as a catalyst for connection and mutual inspiration as well as promising dynamic additions to any collection while offering long-term investment potential in the global art market.

Hosted by the Altro Mondo Creative Space, under the auspices of the Embassy of Italy in Manila, “New Art Frontiers” is more than an artistic showcase—it’s a gateway to discovering fresh voices destined to shape the future of contemporary art, providing a unique opportunity to invest in the future of contemporary art and unique works that blend heritage, innovation, and cultural dialogue.
