She has done exhibitions at Bergdorf Goodman, Zoltan Gallery, and Bonwitt Teller in New York; Nelson Ridge in Princeton; and the China Club in Hong Kong.
Ms. Diaz has been commissioned by the renowned architect Frank Gehry to do his portrait. She also did the portrait for NASCAR driver Dale “Junior” Earnhardt.
Ramon Diaz is famous in the country for creating strong images of the Nishikigoi, more commonly known as Koi, which has been attributed to bring good luck to their owners due to their metallic sheen. He accentuates the qualities of this fish by creating incredibly detailed and vibrant paintings that capture their happiness and grace underwater, making its viewers want to touch them.
Ramon Diaz has been exhibiting both locally and internationally since 1995. His latest exhibitions include “Water Marks” at Hotel Novotel Les Halles in Paris, 2012; “Water Marks II” at The Gallery of Sofitel in Philadelphia, 2011; “Bord de Mer” at Lumen Gallery in New York and Anagama Gallery in Versailles, 2010; and the Steuben Glass Museum in New York, 2009.
