Deeper Reflections is a solo exhibition by visual artist Jay Ragma. Using his signature threadlike fine lines organized in a compact organized chaos, Ragma hones in on the idea of taking a step back and reflecting on life. His visual tapestries of parallel and organized lines communicate a sense of dynamic movement, urging viewers to stay still to catch a glimpse of the true splendor of his work. Jay Ragma is a visual artist from Caloocan City. He received his bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts – Advertising Arts from the University of the East. He is most known for his paintings of symmetrical lines inspired by the Italian Futurism movement born in the early 20^th century. This artistic movement emphasized dynamism, youth, technology, violence, and the beauty of speed.
