Chambers is the second exhibition by Gossamer, a collective of artists committed to expanding the possibilities of painting as a mode of expression, reflection, and dialogue. Framed around the concept of the chamber—as interior, passage, and threshold—the exhibition explores the ways in which physical and emotional spaces are formed, inhabited, and transformed through painting. These spaces, rendered across various practices and material approaches, become intimate sites for observation, memory, and self-inquiry.

Participating artists—Angelica Jacoba, Gia Luistro, Joanna Abigail Nolasco, Jairus Dianzon, Janis Anicka Reyes, Jehu Sabado, Josiah Celicia, Markus Gallegos, Matina Partosa, Paolo Gonzales, Ryle Russell, and Steven Yago Burce—approach the idea of the chamber as a site for contemplation, passage, and projection, reflecting the diverse trajectories of Gossamer’s members while also highlighting their shared language of experimentation and mutual influence.

Each artist presents a distinct engagement with the idea of interiority—whether through the textures of domestic life, the nuances of surface and light, or the subtle shifts of thought and feeling that take place in quiet, enclosed spaces. Together, these works create a collective terrain of introspection and resonance.

More than a static collection of rooms, Chambers offers passages—between solitude and solidarity, individual and collective, stillness and change. As viewers move through the exhibition, they are invited to pause, linger, and attune to the layered meanings embedded in each painting. In this way, the show becomes both a record and continuation of Gossamer’s ongoing conversation: a shared space where the act of marking the ground is also an act of opening it up.
