Balik-Tanaw is Enim’s heartfelt tribute to Filipino masters, both National Artists and contemporary virtuosos in the creative field. The exhibition is Enim’s “pagbabalik-tanaw” or review of the images and oeuvre’s produced by these skilled practitioners, particularly those that speak to the current condition of the world.
As a self-taught artist, Enim displays these pieces as a testament to the long, tireless years he spent perfecting his craft and studying the works of these masters to learn their process and techniques.
ENim is a prolific artist whose portraiture echoes his love for the human figure and its emotions and deep concerns for Mother Nature. He is also known for his portraits, figurative and landscape paintings. His paintings usually carry a message of humans as the stewards of Mother Earth and that one cannot survive without the other.
For more than a decade, ENim has participated in numerous group art exhibits all around the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, USA, Germany and Italy. He has also won several awards including First Place in the AAP’s First Figurative On-The-Spot Painting, Finalist in the 2017 GSIS National Art Competition, and Finalist in the 2020 High Art Competition in the USA. He is a member of the Art Association Of The Philippines(AAP), KUNST Pilipino, Erehwon Art Collective and a core-member of the Knights Of Rizal, Juan Luna Chapter.
In 2011, he was one of the seven artists selected to paint the “Philippine Air Force Mural”. In 2015, he was one of the ten artists commissioned to paint the “Fallen SAF 44 Mural”. In 2013, he was featured in a book “Revisiting Mabini Art”. Another book titled, “Palettes Of Colors” was published in November 2017 again featuring him and his works.
