In Animal Intinct, visual artist Juert Asejo delves into the depths of human behavior, challenging the allure of modernity, and reimagining the essence of primitive emotions through movements, colors, and materials.
The artist’s brushwork takes on a purely unconscious reasoning, vividly portraying the simplest yet most powerful emotions of excitement, lust, and rage. Intensely poured colors manifest confidence that defies peace and order but resonates with a natural perception. Layers upon layers build up, documenting magnified emotions and translations, urging viewers to question themselves, confront their desires, and seek deeper understanding of their instincts.
Juert Asejo’s journey through abstract expressionism is a testament to the power of figuration, narrating a fantastical tale that emerges from chaos, love, intoxication, rage, agony, fear, and lust. Through monumentally scaled pieces, he leads us on a journey that probes the intricacies of human nature.
