Altro Mondo is pleased to announce Every Now and Again, an exhibition of paintings by Jack Mernin.  This is his second time showing with the creative space.

Mernin desires to invent an ineffable image that slips beyond any one verbal definition.  Created using experimental, seemingly contradictory material means, the paintings unfold throughout the course of a single sitting.  Forms are suggested as fragments, colliding in rapid succession until a surprising image inadvertently reveals itself.  Their looks resemble an attempt to reconstruct a vivid dream upon awakening.

Jack Mernin was born in 1991 and divides his time between Manila and Belleville, Pennsylvania.  He holds a BFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design.
